Rio Grande Winery Wine Club Levels

Rio Grande Winery offers three (3) wine club membership levels.

  • Copper: 3 bottles per quarterly shipment
  • Silver: 6 bottles per quarterly shipment
  • Gold: 12 bottles per quarterly shipment

Prerequisites

  • Members must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Members must have a valid CREDIT CARD on file to receive club orders and benefits. The primary credit card on file will be charged at least two (2) weeks before the wine is shipped or available for pick up.
  • Members must make a minimum one (1) year commitment, four (4) quarterly shipments, to join the club. Wine Club Memberships are ongoing with auto renewal and can be canceled once the club order minimum requirement has been fulfilled.
  • Membership sign up is a one time fee of $19.95.

Wine Selections

  • Each quarter, you will be provided with a WINEMAKERS SELECTION. Selections will vary based on seasonal appropriateness, availability, and special features.
  • The wines in the Winemakers Selection and other wines available to customize your 
  • wine club shipment will be available for tasting in our tasting room.
  • One (1) month prior to each quarterly release, you will receive an email notifying of the WINEMAKERS SELECTION for the quarter. Through that email, you can follow the link to securely customize your order. At this time, you may also update your credit card and shipping preferences.
  • Customizations will be due two (2) weeks prior to the quarterly release date.
  • Cost of each quarterly release will vary based on Winemakers Selection and/or customizations but will always include the 20% off club member discount.

Billing

  • Every quarter, four (4) times per year, your credit card will automatically be billed for the retail price of the wines less your 20% discount, plus shipping, packaging, and any applicable states taxes. Quarterly Wine Club Costs can range from $60 – $200+, depending on wine selection and customizations.
  • Members will be charged for their wine shipments, typically two (2) weeks prior to the quarterly release. Please ensure you have updated credit card information on file. To update, please login to your Wine Club Account, created during club enrollment, or contact us via email at info@riograndewinery.com.

Shipping Information

  • Shipping rates vary by state and weight/quantity. If you have any questions, contact us via email at info@riograndewinery.com.
  • Wine must be signed for by an adult 21 years of age or older. For this reason, we cannot ship to a P.O. Box and strongly recommend shipping to an address where an adult 21 years or older is available to sign for the package.
  • The quality of our wines is guaranteed when signed for on the first delivery attempt.
  • You will be emailed when the shipping label is created and again with tracking information once the carrier scans your package. These details will be sent to the email you provided. Check to be sure that it isn’t sent to your spam or junk inboxes. Please check directly with the carrier for the most accurate delivery estimate so you can ensure someone is present to sign for your wine. Ground delivery typically takes 1 – 7 business days, depending on your state’s proximity to New Mexico.
  • Our shipping carrier is UPS. To best manage your deliveries, we strongly recommend you sign up for UPS MY CHOICE. It is free to sign up and allows you to request more services to simplify delivery, such as vacation holds or appointment delivery through this program, which only the recipient can select.
  • The carrier will make three delivery attempts before returning the package to us. If you know you will not be able to sign at the time of delivery, or if you receive a notice the package missed its attempted delivery, please reach out directly to UPS customer service at 1-800-742-5877. You may be able to arrange to pick the package up at a local facility. Please note, carriers will only hold packages for 5 days. Or have the package sent to an alternate address. Please note, changing the delivery address will incur an additional expense.
  • It is your obligation to update account information before the beginning of a shipment month. Misdirected shipments and delivery difficulties may result in additional shipping charges.
  • To update your account information, please log into your account through your wine club portal, or you can reach us via email at info@riograndewinery.com.
  • We may automatically hold shipments during time of extreme weather to ensure your package arrives successfully.
  • We discourage shipping wine as a surprise gift, as packages containing alcohol require the signature of someone over 21 at the time of delivery. When gifting wine, we ask that you communicate with the recipient so they can expect a package that needs a signature. We also ask that you provide an email address for the recipient, so they can receive tracking information and best prepare for a successful delivery.
  • If you need your wine shipped during a specific time period, please notify our wine club manager via email at info@riograndewinery.com. With advance notice, we are happy to change your ship date to ensure delivery.

Returned Shipments

  • Members are responsible for all shipping charges including those incurred due to misdirected and/or returned shipments.
  • Merchandise returned to us will be subject to a restocking fee of $25, which will automatically be charged to the credit card on file.

Pick-Up Members

  • Members who choose to pick up their wines on-site at Rio Grande Winery Tasting Room may enjoy a pickup window of approximately 4 weeks.
  • Merchandise failed to be picked up within the 4 week pick up window will be considered abandoned and will be subject to a restocking fee of $25, which will automatically be charged to the credit card on file. Unless prior arrangements have been made with the club manager, via email at info@riograndewinery.com.
  • If you need your wine picked up during a specific time period, please notify our wine club manager via email at info@riograndewinery.com With advance notice, we are happy to accommodate your pickup needs.

Notification & Club Communications

  • Rio Grande Winery’s main form of communication with our members is email. Our email address is: info@riograndewinery.com. Please note that we do not sell, share, lease, or rent your personal information; your information is for Rio Grande Winery use only.
  • It is the club member’s responsibility to notify us of changes to their account, which include, but are not limited to, email address, telephone number, shipping address or updated payment info. Non-notification may result in return, redirect or reshipment fees.
  • 3 to 4 weeks prior to each quarterly shipment, a pre-shipment email will be sent to notify you of which wines will be shipped, the cost & customization offerings. The email will ask that you check your information listed to ensure the credit card and expiration and shipping address are current. You may delay your shipment for vacation by notifying us via email in advance before the customization deadline.
  • Rio Grande Winery Wine Club maintains a Wine Club Member email list, which we use to notify our members of our quarterly wine selections, timeframe for adjusting your order, shipment dates, and other important information that will enhance your membership experience.
  • If you ‘Unsubscribe’ from the Wine Club email list, please note that you are responsible for timely checks of your online account and the website for any changes made to the wine club.
  • Wine Club Policies & Rules are subject to change without notice.

Membership Holds & Cancellations

  • Memberships may be put on hold for a maximum of two (2) quarters. Please contact the club manager via email at info@riograndewinery.com to make arrangements for a temporary membership hold. Membership holds longer than two (2) quarters will result in cancellation of membership benefits and will be subject to an Early Membership Cancelation fee of $75.00.
  • Membership cancellations must be made in writing at least 4 weeks prior to the next shipment via email at: info@riograndewinery.com.
  • Early Membership cancellations are subject to a $100 fee, which will be charged to your credit card on file.
  • Failure to follow club rules, including failure to keep credit card info current, can lead to permanent expulsion from the club and forfeiture of all club benefits.

State & Local Laws

  • Per individual state laws, membership may not be available in your area. State laws may change without notice. Please contact us via email at info@riograndewinery.com or check our website to verify whether we are able to ship to your state.
  • Members must be at least 21 years of age and provide verification of their date of birth upon signup.

Fees

  • There is no fee to join the Rio Grande Winery Wine Club. Upon signing, members agree to receive a minimum of four (4) shipments, equivalent to one (1) year.
  • Early Membership cancellations are subject to a $100 fee, which will be charged to your credit card on file.
  • Merchandise returned to us will be subject to a restocking fee of $25, which will automatically be charged to the credit card on file.
  • Merchandise failed to be picked up within the 4 week pick up window will be considered abandoned and will be subject to a restocking fee of $25, which will automatically be charged to the credit card on file. Unless prior arrangements have been made with the club manager.
  • Address Changes after a shipment is in transit will be subject to a redirect fee that will be dependent upon the carrier fee.
  • Shipping & Packaging rates vary by state and weight/quantity. If you have any questions, contact us via email at info@riograndewinery.com.
  • Club wine purchases, tax, shipping & packaging fees are non-refundable once they have been processed.
  • Failure to follow club rules, including failure to keep credit card info current, can lead to permanent expulsion from the club and forfeiture of all club benefits.
